Dear Canada,

These past few weeks have been absolutely horrific. Video evidences of the racist and senseless murders of Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and George Floyd have surfaced. Across the United States, there are multiple protests and riots demanding that police forces be held accountable for the murders of Black Americans (not to mention, to stop KILLING Black Americans). My social media feed is flooded with posts of solidarity, Black Lives Matter posts, resources on becoming better allies, and of course as a Canadian- why “Canada-is-a-much-better-place-than-the-USA-with-no-racism”. Frankly, I am tired of seeing this bullshit rhetoric…
