My Dog Is Family

My dog will die soon. He has advanced kidney failure, and at best case scenario, it’s a matter of weeks; worst case scenario it’s a matter of days. I’ve had my dog since I was 9 years old, and I’m now 24. He has been a part of my childhood, angsty teenage years, and now my young adulthood. My parents refer to him as their youngest son, and my brothers and I refer to him as our little brother. Suffice to say, we all love him very much, and we are devastated. Right now, we are all doing the best we can to keep him comfortable and safe while giving him all the cuddles in the world. He is getting the best dog food, sleeping on…
